W.N. Chatfield, 81 of Crowell, passed away Saturday evening, January 15th in Wichita Falls. A graveside service is planned for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at the Crowell Cemetery with Minister Larry Ellis officiating. The visitation will be held Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 at Smith Funeral Home.

Wayne Nicholas Chatfield was born October 11,1940 in Foard County, Texas to the late Charles Nicholas and Betty Oleta Elliston Chatfield. He resided in Foard County most all of his life where he was a farmer and soil contractor. He married Pat Gerhardt on January 23, 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Chatfield of Crowell; son, Charles (Chuck) Edmond Chatfield and wife Shannon of Crowell; daughter, Dena Vineyard and husband Grant of Altus, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christopher Chatfield, Holly Chatfield, Kaylee Vineyard, and Seth Vineyard; one great granddaughter, Elayna Chatfield; one sister, Sharon Sawyer and husband Keith of Lincoln, Nebraska.
