Valerie Sue Shultz, 70, of Margaret, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24th, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Crowell.

Valerie was born on August 29, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, to Joseph Herman Huffman and Barbara Ann Mooney Huffman. She attended Texas Tech University, where she pursued her passion for the visual arts. On April 1, 1983, she married the love of her life, James Shultz, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

She worked in customer service for a freight company, where her kindness and dedication left a lasting impression on those she helped. Valerie had a deep love for music, finding joy in its melodies and rhythms. She also had a fondness for Mexican food, always enjoying a good meal with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, James Shultz of Margaret; her sons, Jacob Lee Shultz of Margaret and Stephen Joseph Shultz of Crowell; and her cherished grandchildren, Asher Shultz, Ryker Lingar, Aquinna Barnett, and Clayton Hamor. She also leaves behind her siblings, Veronica Baca of Lubbock and Ronald Huffman and his wife Vicky of Lockney, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Valerie's warmth and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
