Theda Lynn Rich, 87, of Crowell, TX, passed away peacefully to go live with our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 14, 2025, with her husband, Jim Rich, by her side.

Born August 12, 1937, in Crowell to T.R. and Roxie Hough, Theda attended Crowell High School and later studied Business Administration and Appliance Repair. She married James Rich on April 13, 1954, in Mount Pleasant, TX. Over the years, they lived in several states, including Pennsylvania, Alaska, and California, before settling back in Crowell in 1974, where they owned and operated Jim's Electric until retirement.

Theda was a loving wife, mother, foster mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was active in her community, serving with the Crowell Chamber of Commerce, MADD, Adopt-a-Highway, and was instrumental in establishing the Crowell Recycling Center. She was passionate about the environment, nature, women's rights, and her faith.

She is survived by her husband Jim; son Tommy Rich and wife LeShel of Lubbock; grandson Tyler Rich and wife Paige and their sons Owen and William; granddaughter Ashley Rich; sister Shirley Carroll; brothers Kenneth Hough and Gaylon Hough; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Roberta Rager.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Crowell Cemetery.
