Stuart Odell Smith passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, in Crowell, Texas. A service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4th at the First Christian Church.

Stuart was born January 22, 1983, in Crowell to Joe Mark and the late Patti Smith. He was the grandson of the late Joe Vernon and Doris Smith. Stuart was a 2001 graduate of Crowell High School. Following graduation, he went on to the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Houston, Texas.

Stuart was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time riding around and fixing or tinkering with something. He also enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with his friends.

Survivors include his father, Joe Mark Smith of Crowell; sister, Tambra Carrizal and husband Dan; one nephew, Dylan Odell of Grand Prairie; cousin, Jason Mayes; best friend, Sarah Wilhelm and her children, Remi and Rhett; special friends, Ronnie and Sherry Simmons; and many other family and friends. Stuart is preceded in death by his mother, Patti Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Christian Church of Crowell.
