San Juan Martin "John" Moya, Sr. passed away Thursday afternoon, September 30, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2021 at Abundant Life Church in Crowell.  Interment will follow at the Truscott Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m., Sunday, October 3 ^rd at Smith Funeral Home in Crowell.

John was born January 7, 1966 in Crowell to Baldimore and Nora Huizar Moya. He was a resident of Truscott and Crowell all his life; and was a member of Abundant Life Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He made a living as a ranch hand; he loved horses, gardening, and joking with his friends.

Survivors include his companion, Veronica Baca of Crowell; 2 sons, San Juan Moya, Jr. of Wanette, Oklahoma, and Otavio Moya of Crowell; 1 brother, Baldimore Moya, Jr. of Seymour, Texas; 2 sisters, Amalia Bernal of O'Brien, Texas, and Amanda Vasquez of Abilene, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Corban, Raegan, Justin, and Aurianna; and his dog, Bo Willow.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
