Ruben Pineda, 74, of Crowell, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Assembly of God Church in Crowell. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Smith Funeral Home.

Ruben was born October 20, 1950, in Watertown, Wisconsin, to Sotello and Adelia (Perez) Pineda. On March 11, 1979, he married Connie Ramon in Carnes City, Texas. Throughout his life, Ruben was a true "jack of all trades" — an antique dealer with many hobbies. He was an outgoing and friendly man, known for his talkative nature and warm personality. A devoted husband and loving father, Ruben was deeply religious and enjoyed painting, drawing, hiking, and playing the bass guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Pineda; his children: Mary Grace Pineda of Corpus Christi, Richard Pineda of Plainview, Christopher Pineda and wife Amber of Hale Center, Michael Pineda of Crowell, and Jacob Pineda of Corpus Christi; his brother, Lupe Pineda; and his sister, Susie Ramirez.

Ruben's legacy also lives on through his beloved grandchildren: Elija Pineda, Chasidy Pineda, Madyson Pineda, Haiden Pineda, Chance Dumas, Kaleigh Vargas, Lily Pineda, Nathan Pineda, Aleeya Knight-Pineda, and Nevaeh Knight-Pineda.
He is also survived by daughter-in-law Amber Pineda; sister-in-law Martha Ramon; and brothers-in-law Joe Ramon, Alfredo Pineda, and Augustine Ramon.

Ruben will be remembered for his creativity, kindness, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
