Peggy Watson passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 in Crowell at the age of 85. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery.

Peggy June Golden was born February 12, 1939 in Wicks, Arkansas to John Welsey Golden and Maudie Wright Golden. She was a member of Bethel Church in Crowell.  She's a past Activity Director at Crowell Nursing Center and past Director of the Housing Authority. Peggy was a strong woman who was loved by many.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Watson and Lorraine of Crowell, Randy Watson and Linda of Crowell; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a brother, J.W. Golden of Stamford; and a sister, Sharon Ceccoapieri of Trinity, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Johnny Keith Watson, in 2016.
