Paul Yruegas Hernandez passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was 72. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 20 ^th at Crowell Cemetery with Rev. Robert Mitschke officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time, on Monday, at Smith Funeral Home in Crowell.

Paul was born June 29, 1947 in Pawnee, Texas, to Ricardo S. Hernandez, Sr., and Aurora Yruegas. He was married to Lupe Mercado on March 10, 1973. They were married for 46 years.

Paul was a long-time resident of Wichita Falls, where he owned and operated his own business, Professional Floor Care.

Survivors include his wife, Lupe Hernandez of Wichita Falls; 6 daughters, Tracy Hernandez of Wichita Falls, Joeanna Hernandez of Childress, Amy Hernandez, Annie Hernandez, and Alvina Hernandez of Hale Center; 1 son, Oscar Hernandez of Wheeler, Texas; 1 sister, Natalie Chavolla of Crowell; 2 brothers, Richard Hernandez of Crowell, and Guadalupe Hernandez of Quanah; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jesse Hernandez and Juan Hernandez; and 1 sister, Frances Favela.
