Mary Lou Wilson, 82, of Crowell, passed away Wednesday morning, November 18 th, in Quanah. A graveside service is planned for Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Crowell Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Crowell.
Mary Lou Denton was born in Laredo, Texas on April 25, 1938 to Jake B. Denton and Jennie Little Denton. She married Kenneth Warren Wilson on September 26, 1956 in Lawton, Oklahoma, and they were married for 56 years. Kenneth preceded her in death on September 14, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rosella Anderson of Tyler, Texas. Mary Lou was a devout Christian woman and pianist at Bethel Church. She devoted her time selflessly and took pride in keeping the church clean for many years. Mary Lou also worked at the Crowell Nursing Center for 7 years, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her two daughters, Donna Nickell and husband, George of Ennis, Texas; and Dena Dannelley and husband, Don of Iowa Park; one son, Deryl Wilson of Crowell; 4 grandchildren, Chad Dannelley, and wife Jamie of Aledo, Texas; Aaron Dannelley, and wife, Leslie, of Farmers Branch; Chris Broyles, and husband, Rob, of Denton, Texas; and Tiffany Wilson, of Crowell; 4 great grandchildren, Henry and Margaret, Harrison Finn Broyles-Borenstein; and Savannah Wilson; 3 sisters, Lajuan Hillesand of Cupertino, California; Dorothy Erickson of Ogden, Utah; and Wilma Denton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Ronnie Denton of Crowell; and Jake Denton, Jr, of Wichita Falls; as well as many wonderful friends.
