Marlene Mason Orr went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, August 24th at the age of 89 in Childress, Texas.  She was the daughter of  Fannie Capps Mason and Jasper Lee Mason and was born July 13, 1932 in Thalia, Texas.

She is survived by; daughters Debbie Shaw and husband Mike of Crowell, Texas and  Marla Cox of the Colony, Texas; four grandchildren, Scott Bearden and wife Stephanie, their children Seth and Sage of Crowell; Kera Bearden and children Jacob and Justin of Maurice, Louisiana.  Katy Nichols and husband Travis, of Boerne, Texas and children, Tyler, Mason and Abby Kay; Colby Cox and wife Emily of Flower Mound and children Cade, Tatum, Sadie and Hattie.  One sister, LaRue Bledsoe of Seminole, Texas.  She is also survived by a loving son of the heart, Larry Bassel and wife Joann and family of Altus, Oklahoma.  Bonus family includes grandson Perry Shaw and wife Kandi, and daughter Liv; granddaughter Jennifer Brownlee and husband Vance and daughter Reata of Springer, New Mexico, Flint Brownlee of Seymour; Ransom and wife Robyn Brownlee of Benjamin, Texas. Two great, great grandchildren Claire Brownlee of Gilliland and Reagan Brownlee of Benjamin.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Orr;  her parents, Fannie Capps Mason and Jasper Lee Mason, one sister, Frankie Cottrell, a brother, Joe Mason; son-in-law, Gary Cox; One grandchild, Tobin Bassel; Nephews Don Carson, Cal Carson, Doyle Cottrell and one niece, Trevah Mason Conner.

Marlene was a life long homemaker, she was her husband's partner, whether plowing, cooking or chasing parts.  She also was a mother who made sure her daughters were well taken care of.  She loved people; her friends and playing bridge. Her greatest delight were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a Church of Christ.
