Loyd Shultz, 94, passed away Tuesday evening, December 13, 2022. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 19 ^th at Margaret Cemetery with interment to follow. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, December 18 ^th at Smith Funeral Home.

Loyd Carlton Shultz was born May 4, 1928 in Foard County to Jacob Lee Shultz and Mamie Johnson Shultz. He married Jackie Wesley on October 30, 1948. Loyd had many skills and was a ham radio operator; he worked as a geologist and seismologist in the oil field; he later worked as a firefighter in Lubbock, Texas, working at the Central Fire Station.

Survivors include 2 sons, James Shultz of Crowell, Keith Shultz of Lubbock; and daughter, Trudy Robinson of Callender Lake, Texas; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Shultz, January 18, 2022; 1 son, Charles Shultz; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.

The family suggests memorials be made to Margaret Cemetery Association to honor his passing.
