Larry Woodard, 72, passed away Saturday evening, August 20, 2022 in Crowell.  A funeral service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Crowell. Rev. John Holley will officiate. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday evening, at the funeral home.

Larry Ray Woodard was born July 9, 1950 in Crowell, Texas to the late R. L. Woodard and Beatrice Durham Woodard. He married Carolyn Dockins on April 2, 1977. Larry was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He worked as a jailer in Foard County; and at Wright Brand Foods. During his early years, he worked in the oilfield.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Woodard of Crowell; 1 son, Larry Keith Woodard of Giddings, Texas; 2 sisters, Rachel Norman, and husband Hack, of Crowell, and Ann Hollenbaugh of Crowell; 1 brother, David Seedig, and wife Gina, of Vernon; 2 brothers in law, Wesley Cummings and Rickey Dockins; 3 sisters in law, Martha Woodard, Sherrill Gholson, and Vee Dockins; 3 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by 2 sons, Shannon and Cody Woodard; and 2 brothers, Dale and Billy Woodard.

The family suggests memorials be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
