Judy Hernandez, 71, of Quanah, died at OU Medical Center on January 24, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30 ^th , at the First Baptist Church in Crowell, with Rev. Chris McLain officiating.

Judy was born May 12, 1947, to Cleto and Geneva (Contreras) Cruz, in Estelline, Texas.  She married Guadalupe Hernandez on December 12, 1968, in Memphis, Texas.

Judy is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Hernandez of Quanah; a son -  Lupe (Vicky) Hernandez of Chico, Texas; 4 daughters -  Michelle (Keith) Welch of New Braunfels, Monica (Carl) Smith of Mesquite,  Shelia Hernandez, of Quanah, Carmelita Love, of Vernon; grandchildren – Megan and Cameron Welch, Ericka (Garrett) Mills, Saleena  Dushan, Greg Dushan, Zachary Dushan, Tyler Anderson, Stephen Lasoya, Bridget Leary, Devin Leary, Xavier Hernandez, Anthony Lopez, Emily Weatherby, and Haily Streicher; 3 sisters – Teresa Robertson, Bea Cranford, Carmel Gonzales; and 2 brothers – Steve Cruz and Robert Cruz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Julie Hernandez,  a sister, Ramona Essary, and brother, Joe Cruz.
