Jimmie Walter Henry passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Crowell, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9th at Crowell Cemetery.

Jimmie was born on October 1, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas, to Jim Lester and Maggie Thelma (Lewis) Henry. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Bell Henry, in 1991. In 1992, he married Gaye Ramsey.

He was a Baptist and an active member of the community, including participation in the 4H Club and the Quarter Horse Association. Jimmie worked at Rolling Plains and was a former owner of the Dairy Bar. He later worked at Crowell State Bank, where he served as a Director. A cowboy at heart, he loved ranching and farming and lived a life close to the land.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Gaye Henry; sons Fred Henry and wife Lisa of Vernon, and Billy Henry and wife Michelle of Crowell; daughter, Jodi Bond and husband Billy of Crowell; grandchildren J Henry and Kaney, Donna Rich and Nic, M'Lainey Churchwell, Shelby Henry, Brayden Henry, Levi Bond, Lex Bond and Hannah, Jimmy Bond and Annie; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Khloey, Millie, Zoee, Zadee, Mackenzie, Karson and Parx; brothers Dale Henry and wife Carolyn, Larry Henry and wife Jill; and sister Thelma Ayers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crowell Fire Department in honor of Jimmie's memory and service to his community
