Janell Lee Gray Manard, age 71, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born February 11, 1949 in Crowell, daughter of Byron Fred Gray, Sr. and Elizabeth "Bette Ann" Fergurson Gray.

Janell was a longtime resident of Crowell and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She and her husband owned and operated the Crowell Flower Shop in Crowell, Texas, the Manard Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Texas and the Womack-Manard Funeral Home in Crowell, Texas. Janell dedicated her entire life to serving her community & the Lord.

Survivors include, a son, Mike Wayne Manard, Jr. of Lubbock Texas, two daughters, Janellleesa Manard Varner of Lubbock, Texas and Jawayne Mikelee Manard Hodges and husband, Ben, of Sanger, Texas; a granddaughter, Jalie Mae Elizabeth Hodges, four grandsons, Jaben Wayne Eugene Hodges, Blayne Eugene Hodges, Richard William Varner, II and Quade Lee Varner; one brother, Fred Gray, Jr. and two sisters, Sherry Gray Jones and Beverly Ann Gray.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husand, Mike Wayne Manard, Sr. on February 25, 2014, her mother on November 21, 2001, father on September 18, 2007, and one sister, Janice Hord on June 15, 2014.

The family suggest memorials be made to Crowell Cemetery, Thalia Cemetery or Boys Home of Lubbock, Texas.
