Sue Barker went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Lakewood, Colorado.  She was 74 years old.

A funeral service is planned for 11AM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Crowell, Texas.  Visitation will begin at 10AM. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery.

Sue was born on October 20, 1949, in Vernon, Texas to her late parents, Hardy and Gladys Stogsdill.

Sue married Keaton Barker December 13, 1975 and they made a home together in Crowell with their two daughters until 1984 when the family relocated to Denver, Colorado.  Sue was a homemaker.  She dedicated her life to her family finding immense joy in being a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a woman of deep and unwavering faith in the Lord.  She will be remembered for many things including her immense creativity and excellent cooking.  Sue loved tending to her roses and enjoyed many creative outlets including sewing and painting. Sue's determination and positive attitude amidst her long battle with cancer serves an inspiration to her family.

Sue is survived by her husband, Keaton Barker of Lakewood, Colorado; her two daughters, Shanda Spahn (Joel) and Kylle Barrieau (Matt) both of Lakewood, Colorado; her four grandchildren: Dean, Reuben, Evelyn and Silas; as well as her sister, Linda Emmons of Kaufman, Texas and brother, David Stogsdill (Jan) of Enid, Oklahoma.

In honor of Sue's memory the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Crowell Cemetery.
