Geraldine Boren, 89, passed away August 19, 2026 in Crowell, Texas. A gravesides service is planned for 12:00, Monday, August, 24th at Crowell Cemetery.

She was born December 14, 1937 in Crowell to Henry and Stella Machac Hrabal. She graduated from Crowell High School and married the love of her life, Dwayne Boren, on December 30, 1956. Together they built a life that revolved around her son, Terry Wayne, and their horses. They enjoyed showing their horses and participating in area parades, rodeos, cuttings and western events. They loved helping others and sharing the western lifestyle.

Geraldine worked as a telephone operator and as a bookkeeper for Foard County Hospital and she and Dwayne worked as agents for Germania Insurance Company. Her mother, Stella, lived to be 100 years old and Geraldine cared for her until her last day. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwayne, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Terry, of Crowell, numerous cousins, and many friends.

The family suggests memorials be made to Wilbarger Humane Society in her memory.
