Faye Statser, 101, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 5th, 2022 in Crowell.  A funeral service is planned for 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 11 ^th , at the First Baptist Church. A family visitation will be at the church from 10:00 to 10:30. Following graveside the family will have lunch in honor of Faye in her home. Faye's home was the place of gathering for all the family for many years.

Oleta Faye Zeibig was born November 5th 1920, in Crowell, Texas, the oldest daughter of the late Homer Richard and Velma B.(Meadors) Zeibig. Faye grew up on the farm just North of Crowell and lived in Foard County for most of her life. She graduated from Crowell High School in 1939 and earned a BBA degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood in 1945. She earned her Masters Degree as an Educational Diagnostician in 1977 from Midwestern State University.

Faye married W.F. Statser in 1945 in Crowell, where they raised their two sons, Don William, Richard Lee, and daughter, Karen Sue. Faye taught at Crowell ISD for 24 years before retiring in 1987.  During her retirement years, she served on the Foard County Library and Cemetery Boards. Faye was also a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Crowell, where she served in many positions throughout her life.

Faye is survived by her son, Richard Lee Statser; daughter Karen Sue Statser Matysek; granddaughter Lori Suzaine Gable, and her husband Preston W. Gable; granddaughter Annie Nicole Matysek Day, and her husband William Harold Day; great grandson, Joshua Gene Statser, and his wife Amanda Rose; and great granddaughter Reagan Elizabeth Day. She was predeceased by her husband, W.F. Statser; a son, Don William Statser; son-in-law, Frederick Karl Matysek; and a great granddaughter, Jade Rose Statser.
