Eloisa Barrera, 76, of Crowell passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. A private Funeral Mass is planned for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Phil Petta and Deacon Ruben Castenada will officiate. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery and all are invited to attend. A Rosary will be held at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, in Crowell, on Monday evening.

Eloisa Palacio was born on February 18, 1944 to Pedro Palacio and Lorenza Quintana Palacio in Knox City, Texas. She married N. M. "Snow" Barrera on December 1, 1967, in Crowell, where she lived most of her life. She loved to cook and did so professionally. Eloisa was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Marie Callender of Austin, Mary Hindman of Healdton, Oklahoma, Delma Cobos of Round Rock, and Lori Durham of Crowell; 3 sons, David Barrera of Crowell, Ernest Barrera of Crowell, and Jesse Barrera of Venon; 4 sisters, Ermania Fuentes of Wichita Falls, Elvera Bustamante of Vernon, Audelia Palacio and Josie Palacio of California; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Snow Barrera; 1 son, Bobby Palacio; and 2 brothers, Lupe Palacio, Sr. and Alfredo Palacio; 2 sisters, Sally Urango and Jesse Castanada; and a grandson, Bennie Solis.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crowell.
