Edwina Ross Halencak Fairchild, 92, of Crowell, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Margaret Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery under direction of Womack Manard Funeral Home.

Edwina was born July 19, 1926 to Clarence and Blanche (Lisenby) Ross in Crowell, Texas.  She graduated from Crowell High School in 1945 and attended McMurry College in Abilene.  She was a lifetime member of Margaret United Methodist Church, as well as the oldest living member.

Edwina was married to Frankie Halencak on November 27, 1948 in Vernon.  He passed away on September 28, 1973.  She later married J.B. Fairchild.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hopkins and husband Leslie, of Crowell; a son, Daryl Halencak and wife Jane, of Crowell; 2 grandchildren, Mark Hopkins of Ft. Worth and Sara Smith and husband Ryan, of Margaret; 2 great grandchildren, Elliot and Ella Smith of Margaret.
