Doris Smith passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas, Thursday morning, May 18, 2023, at the age of 83. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, in the Crowell, Cemetery.

Doris Ann Huskey was born June 10, 1939 in Thalia, Texas to the late Charlie Huskey and Iola Choate Huskey. Doris married Joe Vernon Smith in 1954, and they raised 3 children. She was a retired LVN and a member of the First Baptist Church of Crowell.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Mark Smith of Crowell and Ricky Smith of Dallas; grandchildren, Stuart Smith of Crowell, Tambra Carrizal of Grand Prairie, Jason Mayes of Quanah; and multiple great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Vernon, in 1998; daughter, Christi in 2012; and daughter-in-law, Patti H, Smith in 2023.
