Obituary

Donald Hines Hinkle passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday, April 14, 2019 in Crowell.

He was born on November 30, 1943, in Crowell, to the late Charlie Clarence and Lena Oree Phillips Hinkle. He and Anita Lozano were married on April 17, 1970, in Crowell.

Donald was a graduate of Crowell High School.  Her served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1970, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Basic Missileman Badge, the Good Conduct Meal, and the Marksman Rifle Medal.  He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.  He retired from 30 years service with the Soil Conservation Service.

He is survived by his wife, Anita of Crowell; one daughter, Ann Carmichael of Quanah; a son, Albert Hinkle of Abilene; one brother, Rudy Hinkle of Spartenburg, South Carolina; 1 sister, Ruth Daniel of Crowell; 8 grandchildren;and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Clarence Hinkle on June 9, 1978; sister, Joyce Marie Gill on June 18, 1988; mother, Lena Oree Phillips Hinkle on August 9, 2005; sister, Dorothy Lois Fisher on November 26, 2013; and brother, Perry Alan "Bud" Hinkle in 2019.
