David Powers was a kind and caring man, a loving husband, father, and Papa.  He was born December 6, 1943 to Winifred and Jack Powers.  He left this earth to his heavenly home 12/31/2020.  He was preceded in death by Jack Powers, Shirley Powers, Jane Powers and several other family members and friends.  He is survived by his daughters Carol Lively of Waxahachie, TX, Stephanie Powers of Bristol, VA, two step daughters, Julie Graham and husband Brian of Milano, TX and Rhonda Hanson and husband Lance of Haskell, TX.  Eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  A.D. Powers and wife Beth of Ruidoso Downs, NM and several nieces, nephews and other family members.  David liked to piddle and tinker with things.  He could fix just about anything. He also loved collecting; whether it was antiques or just stuff.  If you ever needed anything, chances are he had it.  In his prime he was an avid hunter and loved to camp as well.  David was always an Indian fan, whether it be the Quanah Indians or Haskell Indians.  He loved to watch family members participating in whatever sport, activity, or event they might be engaged in.  David loved the Lord and his faith was strong even as he began to decline in health.  He loved his family with all his heart.  He was the rock and when he went home to be with the Lord a piece of his family went home too, however, in turn, a piece of him will forever hold a place in their hearts as well as many others he encountered.  Remember, Life is a gift and death should not be feared.  With death, comes a heavenly being, a transcendence to your heavenly home.  We rejoice knowing that he is now home.
