Daniel Urquizo, Sr., of Crowell, passed away Tuesday morning, July 9, 2019. He was 88.

A graveside service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at Crowell Cemetery under direction of Womack Manard Funeral Home.

Daniel Cardona Urquizo was born September 9, 1930 in Dinero, Texas to Juan and Antonio Cardona Urquizo. He married Eva Lozano in Haskell County, Texas on February 25, 1952. The couple moved to Foard County in 1955. Daniel served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a retired rancher and farmer; and a member of the Catholic church.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Eva Urquizo of Crowell; one daughter, Linda Werley of Crowell; 2 sons, Daniel Urquizo, Jr. of Pottsboro, and Jesse Urquizo of Margaret; one sister, Elia Martinez of Pearland, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Johnny Urquizo, Sr. on May 14, 2016, and Joe Urquizo on January 4, 2018.
