Carl Hopper passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 7 ^th , 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m., Monday, September 13 ^th at the First Baptist Church in Crowell. Rev. John Holley and Rev. Loyd Daniel will officiate. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Crowell. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sunday evening, September 12 ^th at the funeral home.

Carl Neil Hopper was born October 24, 1969 to Norman James Hopper, Sr. and Norma Jean Walker Hopper. He married Tonya Clifton on March 20, 1993 in Crowell.  Carl was a member of Vernon Street Machines & Classic Association for 23 years; a member of the American Cancer Society; Crowell High School Booster Club; and coached Top of Texas Kid League Football. He was an Interpretive Ranger at Copper Breaks State Park for 11 years, and prior to that, he worked at Waggoner & Son Electric.

Survivors include his wife, Tonya Hopper of Crowell; one son, Jared Hopper of Crowell; one daughter, Erika Henslee and husband Jason of Vernon; one brother, Norman Hopper Jr. and wife Annette of Colorado City, Texas; three sisters, Charlotte Scott and husband Rick of Sweetwater, Texas, Christine Jett of Sweetwater, Texas, and Toni Glover and husband Delbert of Crowell; one sister in law, Paula Walker of Greenwood, Texas; two grandchildren, Deavon and Evalyn Henslee; as well as two grand dogs, Penelope Rose and Loretta Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Walker, Jr.; niece, Crystal Edwards; and brother in law, Tony Jett.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
