Billy Dishman, 69, of Crowell, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 in Wichita Falls.  A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Larry Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Crowell Cemetery. Visitation will be held form 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Dishman was born November 22, 1951 in Crowell, Texas to Thomas Kip and Bonnie Faye Cravens Dishman. He married Emma Hudgens on April 30, 1981 in Cowell. Billy lived in Crowell most of his life. In his early years he drove a truck in the oilfield, he later worked 15 years for Texas Natural Gas in Crowell. He then moved to Bridgeport and lived there from 1993-97, where he worked for Bridgeport Correctional Center. He then returned to Crowell and worked until 2007 at DeLongs Cap Factory.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Dishman of Crowell; son Michael and wife Monica Dishman of Vernon; 2 daughters Crystal Zant and husband Shannon of Lubbock, and Michelle Dishman of Oklahoma City; 3 grandsons, Jaxxon Zant, Ezra Dishman, Luka Dishman; 2 granddaughters, Felicty Dishman and Maddie Zant; and a sister Elaine Kee of Crowell.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
