Billy Brent "Bubba" Hord, Jr., age 41 of Crowell, Texas, went to be with Jesus on August 21, 2020 at his home in Crowell. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26 ^th at the First Baptist Church of Crowell.

Bubba was born in Wichita Falls, on May 27, 1979 to Billy Brent and Janice (Gray) Hord, Sr. He graduated from Crowell High School, where he was involved in band and athletics, and was voted Mr. CHS. Bubba was an avid drummer and played the drums up until the day he passed away.  He also loved nature, the outdoors, and animals of any kind; as well as music, drawing, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he was baptized.  Bubba will be remembered by all who knew him for his big heart, kindness, gentle approach, and amazing sense of humor. He was a former employee of North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, Farmers Co-op Elevator in Crowell; Waggoner Ranch in Vernon; Jose's Pipe Testing in Electra; and Bruce Thornton Heating & Air Conditioning in Lubbock.

Survivors include his father, Billy Hord, Sr., of Crowell; one daughter, Lindsi Nichole Hord of Vernon, Texas; 2 sisters, Stephanie Elaine (Hord) Turkett, and husband C.J., of Vernon, and Sarah Jane Awbrey (Hord) Burk, and husband David, of Crowell; nephews, William Bentley Joseph Halencak and Grayson Zachary Lee Hord of Vernon, and Andrew Brent Hord of Crowell; nieces, Elizabeth Paige Hord of Crowell and Awbrey Clair Hardy of Vernon.

Bubba was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Chester and Russie (Raspberry) Hord, and Fred and Betty (Ferguson) Gray, Sr.; and his mother, Janice (Gray) Hord.
