Betty Tamplen passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Crowell. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, at First Baptist Church in Crowell, officiated by Rev. Terry Tamplen.

Betty was born on October 27, 1931, in Crowell to Lester Brock and Veatrice Ferguson Brock. In October 1954, she married Thomas Lee "Ham" Tamplen, and together they raised two sons, Terry and Tommy. Ham preceded her in death in 1980.

A devoted homemaker, Betty also worked at Crowell State Bank and Farmers Co-Op Elevator. She was a longtime member of First Methodist Church and the Good News Sunday School Class. She enjoyed playing 42, volunteering with American Cancer Society, and cherished time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Tamplen and wife Vicki, and Tommy Tamplen and wife Rita; grandchildren, Matt and Lacy Tamplen, Mindy and Jonathon Mathis, Tarah and Chris Jenkins, Greg and Jamie Tamplen, and Mark and Lisa Auston; great-grandchildren, Kailee, Emmalie, Creed, Addison, Robert, Ella, Dylan, Jeremiah, Evan, Tripp, Trigg, Tommi, Maggie, Jamie, and Maylie; and great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Penny.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, J.L. Brock and Robert "Bobby" Brock; and her sisters, Mary Branch and Margie Thomas.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Beyond Faith Hospice or the Crowell Nursing Center Activity Fund.
