Aaron Jay Hinsley passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, in Vernon, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26th at Crowell Cemetery.

Aaron was born July 3, 1948, in Matador, Texas, to Robert James and Christine (Fields) Hinsley. He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in 1969. Aaron worked as an independent crop insurance adjuster for many years.

On August 15, 1969, he married Mika Donnette Irons in Lubbock, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1977. Aaron later served as the Foard County Agent, where he mentored and positively impacted the lives of many young people in the community.

He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were a great joy in his life.

Aaron is survived by his son, Anthony Hinsley and wife Chelsea of Crowell; his grandchildren, Emma and Karson; his brother, Alvin Hinsley and wife Kathy of Aubrey, Texas; and his significant other, Carolyn Chaney of Eastland, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mika Hinsley in 2018, and his daughter, Jennifer Hinsley.

The family suggests memorials be made to Beyond Faith Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
